Platform Update: Brand New Features for Practices & Patients
Discover Lace AI Pro's biggest update yet: new educational content, personalized voice training, and an intuitive interface designed to transform how patients engage with auditory training.
When we talk to audiologists, one thing becomes crystal clear: you need tools that work as hard as you do. That's why we're thrilled to announce our most comprehensive platform update yet, designed to make auditory training more effective, engaging, and easier to deliver.
The evolution of patient education
Let's start with the expansion of our new Learn section. In partnership with Jennifer Henderson Sabes, one of the original co-inventors of Lace and a decorated Professor of Audiology, we created 68 bite-sized educational videos that put everything you want your patients to know right in their pocket.
These aren't your typical dry, technical videos. Each one is carefully crafted to cover the essentials:
- Communication strategies that work
- Environment optimization techniques
- Practical hearing aid tips
- Patient advocacy and awareness
- Real-world auditory training strategies
Content that keeps patients coming back
We've expanded from basic trivia and jokes to over 8,000 exercises across 27 topics. But it's not just about quantity. We're talking philosophy, history, health and wellness, memory lane (with content spanning five decades), vocabulary building, arts, and sciences.
Why such variety? Because the best training is the one patients actually want to do. When someone finds content that resonates with them – whether it's reliving memories from the 60s or diving into fascinating science facts – they're more likely to stick with their training.
Smart training gets smarter
We've moved way beyond the basic "high, medium, low" noise settings you might be familiar with. Our adaptive algorithm now works with 22 different sound levels, constantly adjusting to keep patients training at their optimal threshold.
But here's the really cool part: we're using AI to catalog content based on grade level, tone, personality, word complexity, and number of syllables. This means every training session is precisely tailored to each patient's needs and abilities.
Making accessibility actually accessible
We've learned that adaptive training makes a big difference to patients. That's why we:
- Reduced all voice speeds for better comprehension
- Implemented easy-access volume and content controls
- Created large, intuitive buttons and clear navigation
- Added personalized touches like having Lacey (our AI Avatar) say patient names
- Designed a streamlined home screen that puts progress front and center
Training with Voices that matter
One of the most exciting parts of our update? Our new Voices feature lets patients train with the people who matter most in their lives. Through a simple invitation system, family and friends can contribute their voices to training exercises. It's more than just a feature - it's a way to make training meaningful and personally relevant.
Why does this matter? Because when patients train with familiar voices, they're not just practicing - they're preparing for the conversations they care about most. Early research shows significant improvements in comprehension with familiar voice training in as little as a week.
A fresh UI for better engagement
We've updated our user interface with a new home screen that puts everything at your patients' fingertips:
- Learn and Train sections for easy access to education and exercises
- My Content for personalized training materials
- My Clinic for staying connected with their care team
- Progress tracking and achievements front and center
- Quick access to their custom voices
- Streaks and awards to keep motivation high
The result? An interface that is intuitive enough for every patient, regardless of their tech comfort level.
Shaped by our partner community and patients
Every single one of these updates came from conversations with our partners and patients. Your feedback, challenges, and ideas drive our innovation. We're not just building features; we're building the future of auditory care, together.
